iVeri Payment Technologies, a multi-channel payment gateway provider, announced today their PCI DSS compliancy is now validated on Visa’s Registry of Service Providers.
PCI DSS is a set of policies and procedures intended to optimize the security of transactions and protect cardholders against misuse of personal information. Created jointly in 2004 by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, PCI DSS has become widely accepted as the standard for cardholder data security. Compliance as a service provider requires that any organization that processes, stores or transmits cardholder information must revalidate their compliance on an annual basis.
Visa’s Registry of Service Providers will serve as a source of reference for Visa clients, merchants and other stakeholders. It includes company and contact details, types of services offered, Visa programs they participate in and indicate their compliance with relevant Visa and industry standards. Visa will update Service Providers listed on the Registry with relevant information on trends, standards and policies. The Registry will also function as a central point for Service Providers to submit documentation and receive notifications on annual compliance requirements. Once listed on the Registry, details of service providers can be accessed by Visa’s global network of 15,500 financial institution clients and millions of merchants.
“While we have been PCI DSS certified for a while now, we’re especially pleased to also be listed directly by Visa as a registered service provider,” said Barry Coetzee, CEO. “This validation adds yet another level of assurance to our valued customers that our number one priority remains securely protecting their data and confirms the success of our overall strategy to become the premier provider of secure payment acceptance services.”
