PocketPos Release Notes
The release notes provided in V1 of this document serve as an initial preview of the changes expected in the upcoming production release of the PocketPos application

The PocketPos release notes will contain information related to the new PocketPos application release. The release notes will include the impact of software release to the intended target audience.
The release notes will adopt the format outlined below, as applicable:

Subject: Masterpass now renamed to "Scan to Pay"

Release Description:
- Masterpass payment option has been renamed to "Scan to Pay" onPocketPOS
Subject: Remote Contactless Configurations to the PocketPos/mPress
Product/Platform: IOS & Android - Core
Release Description:
- The ability to make remote contactless configuration updates to the PocketPos/mPress application and Muira device has been introduced, making it easy to manage and update configuration that is contactless specific.
Subject: Remote MPI Configurations to the PocketPos/mPress
Product/Platform: IOS & Android - Core
Release Description:
- The ability to make remote MPI configuration updates to the PocketPos/mPress application has been introduced, making it seamless to upgrade the MPI on the Muira device.
NOTE: MPI remote upgrade can only be made on compatible devices running specific OS versions.

Subject: Geolocation Data Support

Release Description:
- Capturing of Geolocation Data on transactions processed via Miura devices and Scan to Pay (formerly “MasterPass”) has been introduced
Subject: Reversals on certain Muira Tapped Transaction
Product/Platform: Android – Muira Device
Release Description:
- This update fixes an issue where some Miura tapped transactions were getting reversed. The issue was caused by an EMV_CryptogramInformationData value of "40", which wasn’t set appropriately, leading to failed completion attempts and reversals.

Subject: Customer receipt generation method update
Product/Platform: IOS – Customer Receipts
Release Description:
- We’ve introduced a new mechanism for generating PDF receipts to resolve issues with viewing customer receipts, particularly when a merchant reference includes a slash
Subject: Duplicate Merchant Reference with Long Prefixes
Product/Platform: Android – Core
Release Description:
- We have resolved an issue where merchant references were duplicated when the reference prefix exceeded a certain length. This fix ensures unique merchant references regardless of prefix length
Subject: App to app intent function update
Product/Platform: Android – Muira “Transact”
Release Description:
- We fixed an issue that stopped payment intents from external apps for Muira transactions in PockePos
Subject: NFC Enforcement on Tap-on-Phone transactions
Product/Platform: Android – Tap on Phone
Release Description:
- This update enforces the use of NFC exclusively for tap-on-phone functionality, instead of NFC being a requirement on mPress app level. This resolves the issue of the app not appearing in the App Store for users with devices.
Subject: Merchant Receipt Distribution
Product/Platform: Android - Receipts
Release Description:
By leveraging Google message send receipts, the system can now ensure that receipts are sent more consistently. This update should help prevent any issues where receipts fail to be generated or sent in Android 11 and above.
